A Typical Day at Nursery
A Typical Day at Nursery
The majority of our day is based in play. The adults support the children in their play to move their learning on.
We believe that children learn best when their play is child-led, creative, messy and involves the outdoors, therefore we provide the children with lots of different experiences and mediums for the children to play with.
The Nursery day is split into two sessions. Some children only attend a morning/ afternoon and some children attend all day.
8:30 am: Children arrive at Nursery and settle into play
8:50 am: Morning carpet session
During this time, we sing our morning song, say hello to our friends, talk about how we are feeling and learn something new based on our topic of the week.
9:00 am: Children learn and explore in their play. We call this 'Challenge Time'.
10:00 am: Snack-time and Story-time
