Friday 1st May

Good morning!

The 'hottest tickets in town' this Spring were for 'Tutankhamun Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh'; an exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery displaying more than 150 pieces from Tutankhamun's tomb, many of which have never been seen outside of Egypt before. However, this amazing exhibition is obviously closed. In light of this, the organisers of the exhibition have created a virtual video tour including their favourite artefacts; it is stunning!

All of the links are in the Art Galleries section, in the Saatchi Gallery tab. They include the exhibition web-site, 'See and Do' which includes the Virtual Tour and also a photo gallery and information of some of the exhibits and the 'Kids' section, which includes facts, information, games, quizzes and activities. Definitely worth a visit!

Additionally, in the Places section, under the Cairo tab, I have included a virtual tour of the inside of the Great Pyramid of Giza, where the Tutankhamun tomb was discovered.

Happy exploring!

As usual, if you have any comments, or suggestions for virtual visits, you can contact me using the Contact Form on the Scotland Class page. Thank you to those who have done this already.
