Good morning!

I am back with another week of virtual visits . . . although, as places begin to re-open there will places that can be visited now, although they may not necessarily be completely back to 'normal'. With this in mind, visits this week will be to places that are within an hour of Swindon. It's important to support our local attractions so we don't lose them!

Today our visit is to Wilton Windmill; the only working windmill in Wessex. The windmill is situated 9 miles south east of Marlborough and still produces wholemeal stoneground flour. Although the windmill is not open at the moment, you are still able to visit the grounds and view it from the outside. It is a fantastic location for a picnic! There are many walks around this area so I have included links for these, as well as recipes and activities that focus on the windmill itself. All links can be found in the Landmarks section.

Happy exploring!
