Returning to School on 8th March, New School Safe Street and School Meals

Dear Parents/Carers

We hope that this letter finds you all safe and well. You be aware of the recent Government’s announcement that schools will be welcoming all children back into school on Monday 8th March (unless your child has received a shielding letter).
Should you have any concerns about returning to school please do not hesitate to contact us ( and we will help support your child/ren's return.

Arrangements for the start and end of the school day i.e. start/end times and collection points remain the same as they were before this period of lockdown. Class teachers will be sending out reminders on Class Dojo next week.

Please support us with the following :

New School Safe Street on Staldon Road from Sunday 7th March 2021
Some of you will have already seen that there are new traffic restrictions being implemented on Staldon Road, which will be classed as a ‘School Street’ with restricted access. This means that NO vehicles should be using the section of Staldon Road in front of the school between 8.15am and 9.30am and 2.45pm and 3.45pm with the exception of residents and those who have disability badges (clearly displayed), making it much safer for our children. The section of road will be monitored by police and traffic enforcement officers, who can issue a £50 on the spot fine to anyone breaking the restrictions.
East Wichel is a restricted parking zone, parking is only permitted in marked bays, you are however able to use the parking facilities by the shops and at the Bayberry Inn on Frogden Lane. More information regarding the restriction can be found here

School Meals
If your child/ren require a school meal on their return to school please place order for their meals via Parent Pay by Wednesday 3rd March for week beginning Monday 8th March. Many thanks (

We are really looking forward to seeing our children back in school.

Kind regards

Paula Phillips
