Good morning!

Have you watched the film 'Night at the Museum'? Well, today's visit is to the museum where the film is based, The Museum of Natural History in New York. Whilst I love the Natural History Museum in London, there is just something special about the way the exhibits are displayed as dioramas, in their glass cases, in this New York museum. I loved it when I visited; you can really imagine how everything came to life in the film!

I have included links to the museum web-site, a fantastic virtual tour of museum and a brilliant museum 'science web-site for kids' called OLogy. Here you can play games, watch videos, meet scientists and there are lots of activities to do and ideas of things to make. I particularly liked the Astronomy and Zoology sections. I also found out that there is such a person as a Zooarchaeologist! You will find all of the links in the Museums section.

Happy exploring!

As usual, if you have any comments, or suggestions for virtual visits, you can contact me using the Contact Form on the Scotland Class page. Thank you to those who have done this already.
