Ahoy there me hearties!

As you have probably realised, our topic this term is called 'Shivering Shipwrecks' and is all about pirates and the sea.

Have a look at the fantastic letter that Pirate McGregor has sent us  . . .

Daily Writing Opportunities

Join us in writing your very own pirate adventure story this week! We can't wait to read them! You could use the writing template provided in the Writing Ideas of the Day section.

On Friday, we will post the best story so that everyone can read it.

Remember that your story should have:

  • A beginning, an exciting event in the middle and an ending.
  • Well-formed handwriting with letters that sit on the lines.
  • Some longer 'polysyllabic' words such as 'disgusting' . . . remember to break up the words and use your Fred Fingers to spell them. (We would really love to see that you have used your Fred Fingers to help you spell the words yourself, rather than asking someone to spell them for you).

Happy writing me hearties!

Remember, if you would like to be one of the 'Superstar Workers of the Week' you need to post to the ILD every day. There are quite a few children who have posted every day this week so far, well done!

Please remember that we have set the challenge of every child having at least one photo or work sample uploaded to the ILD each day.

We hope you have a good evening.
