I have just been looking at your photos from today and have enjoyed seeing all of the different things you have been doing.
Lots more good money number work, lots of Read, Write Inc. lessons and reading, lots of PE, dance and Cosmic Yoga and some fantastic writing. When you are writing, if you would like to write a letter to one your friends in Scotland Class, I will add it to the bottom of the blog, in 'Friendship Letters', so that your friend can see it. I will also send a message so that they know to look for it. I have started this today.
Remember, if you would like to be one of the 'Superstar Workers of the Week' you need to post to the ILD every day.
Please remember that we have set the challenge of every child having at least one photo or work sample uploaded to the ILD each day.
As usual we have made our daily updates in the following areas: Art and Crafts, Maths, Science, Stories and Writing. There is also a new section in 'Get Moving' called 'Real PE at Home'. Here is what Mrs Ash would like to tell you about it:
It has been great that so many of you have been working out with Joe Wicks everyday and keeping yourself active. In addition to that we now have access to Real PE at home which will give you lots of extra physical challenges to keep you active and busy. Below is some more information about it and how to log on.
Real PE at Home – Online Learning Resource
There different sections you can have a go at - for Early Years and KS1 there is Real Play and Real Foundations where you will find lots of active stories, songs and challenges all based on different themes.
You are not likely to have all the equipment they suggest using at home but you can be creative and use whatever you can from your house - for example there is a balancing game where you have to pick up cones whilst standing on one leg, you could use some of your toys instead - try doing it with Lego pieces for a real challenge! But please ask your parents permission to use things if they are not yours!
There are so many benefits to being active, not only to our physical wellbeing but also to our emotional and mental health, especially at the moment. We hope that the ideas help support you and your family to stay fit and healthy in the coming months. Here are the details to access real PE at home:
