Wednesday 13th May

Wednesday 13th May

Good morning!

Today we are re-visiting the National Trust. On Saturday 16th May, at 3.43am, the National Trust are showing an exciting project called DAWNS: a unique sunrise experience . . .

From 3.43am on Saturday 16 May, in collaboration with artists non zero one, we’ll be welcoming dawn with a unique musical experience that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home.

As daylight sweeps across the country from the North East to the South West, six performers from six locations across the UK will collaborate to perform a specially composed piece of music.

As well as this special project, there are also other useful sections of the web-site about sunrise and the dawn chorus, including; Get Up For the Sunrise - what can you see and hear, beautiful dawn views, how to recognise different birdsong (including teach yourself how), top tips for spotting birds, birds to spot over Spring and how to help birds (including make a bird feeder, bird box and fat balls). All of the links can be found in the Activities section.

Happy exploring!
