Wednesday 15th April

Good morning!

Today's visit is to the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre; a fantastic visit even when it is closed! Usually the museum web-site is very informative and has lots of fun activities but, now they are closed, they have added even more! It's a perfect visit for Roald Dahl fans of all ages. There is even a virtual tour of the museum!

The Things to Do Indoors section has been made to 'help distract you, entertain you or just cheer you up' while you are at home. There is 'Settle Down With a Story', 'How to Draw Your Favourite Characters' by Quentin Blake, 'Get Experimental at Home' Science activities based on 'George's Marvellous Medicine', quizzes, puzzles and crafts.

The Museum at Home section has Roald Dahl Museum 'treasures', further creative activities and 'Marvellous Things to See and Do'. There is also a chance to see what Matilda has been doing in the Museum each day (with links to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). As if that wasn't enough, there is also a section about making story films!

All of the links are in the Museums section.

Happy exploring!

As usual, if you have any comments, or suggestions for virtual visits, you can contact me using the Contact Form on the Scotland Class page. Thank you to those who have done this already.
