At East Wichel Primary School and Nursery, we have a special initiative each year to enhance the educational experience for our children and contribute to a lasting legacy of learning.
Our annual Christmas Book Drive is now underway, and we are reaching out to you, our valued parents, for your support.
You have always been so generous, and this year, instead of traditional presents for our staff, we are kindly asking for books from our carefully curated Christmas wish list, which includes some of the best and most exciting titles available.
We believe in the profound impact that reading has on a child's development. It not only fosters a love of learning but also stimulates imagination and creativity. By building a diverse and enriching library, we aim to provide our children with a wide range of literary experiences that will support their educational journey.
Your contribution to our Christmas Book Drive will make a significant difference in shaping the literary landscape of our school. We place a special bookplate inside each donated book, acknowledging the generosity of the family that made the contribution. This way, your support will be forever linked to the joy of reading your child and their peers will experience.
We understand that the holiday season can be a busy and expensive time for everyone, so if you are unable to help at this time, we completely understand. But if you are able to and would like to participate, please find our Christmas wish list attached to this letter. This year, we have placed a particular focus on non-fiction books in areas the children have told us they are interested in.
We have included some website links, but we are also keen to foster and develop relationships with local businesses. With this in mind, if you are able to purchase from Bert’s Books in Old Town, Bert is expecting you!
