Plans to provide remote learning to any pupil who needs to self-isolate or stay at home due to national restrictions, are in place.

 

An overview to identify the support offered to individual or groups of pupils in each year group is in place.

 

Remote learning on the online learning platform can be accessed via a range of devices to ensure it is accessible.

 

Devices are provided to pupils who do not have any or sharing with other members of the family.

 

Work packs are provided for those who do not have internet access or poor internet connection.

•To ensure the safety of pupils and staff, virtual one to one conversations or support between a child and member of staff

Is not advised. Where it is necessary parents and Designated Safeguarding lead or a deputy will be asked to be present as appropriate.

• Any staff who have safeguarding concerns should report this to the DSL using a Concerns form.

In emergencies or for additional support, support, staff should phone the DSL .

GDPR and personal data

Parents/carers pupils and staff

All information about pupils and parents/carers is kept centrally on the school’s MIS through the Capita SIMS server. Access to sensitive information is only available to limited members of staff. Access is password protected. All cloud based applications that use personal data are audited by our DPO for risk and this is put in a register. The same applies to personnel information. Any paper copies of this information is kept to a minimum and is kept under lock and key in the administration office or teacher’s classroom. Disposal of paper copies is undertaken by a certified firm called Shred-it. Any data breaches are reported to the DPO immediately. DPO explains what actions are needed and assesses the risk. This is all recorded on a data breach register.
