Wyvern Theatre Summer Youth Project Chaperone Call Out

The Wyvern Theatre’s fantastic Summer Youth Project is back, this time with Wizard of Oz.

The Summer Youth Project is the perfect way to get a taste for the world of musical theatre, allowing 200 young people to produce and perform 5 full-scale performances with the help of a professional creative team and live orchestra!

The project runs 6-19 August, with shifts approx. six hours (breaks included of course).

We are looking for licensed chaperones or those with enhanced dbs’ within the last three years to help.

As a chaperone you will be reimbursed for parking/bus fares, free tea and coffee throughout the day, and part of an incredible project.

We also offer a pair of tickets to any show if someone chaperones 4 shifts/2 days. (t’s & c’s apply)

Unfortunately, we are not in the position to pay chaperones.

To express interest, or ask questions, please contact Oli Webb – SYP Producer and Safeguarding Officer

 Many Thanks,

 Oli Webb (They/Them)

Course details:

Level 1: is a 2-hr off-road playground session which boosts confidence in the rider’s awareness skills and gives the accessibility to learn the essentials for fun safe cycling journeys.

The course is incorporated in cycling games with many important tips ‘preparing for a journey, set off, pedal slow and stop.’

It is with genuine regret that the decision has been made to cancel our Fashion Show in November.  This has been a difficult decision but sadly we have lost 2 of our valuable dressmakers recently and we don’t feel that we have the resources to give this great project the time it really needs to make it a success.

Whilst I know this will be disappointing for some of you, please be assured that we will honour any designs that are sent in by children and create them for another of their special occasions. (9.5.2023).

Parent Champions

The Parent Champions programme is based on the belief that parents are the best people to support each other by sharing experiences of using Early Years education and local services. Parent Champions can build trust with other parents, putting them at ease and encouraging them to make the best of the help available. The work is voluntary and could potentially lead to paid employment.

Please see below the link to our Parent Champions page on the Local Offer website:
