Alphabet exercises

Good morning everyone!

Hope everyone is well and that you are all staying fit and healthy by fitting in some daily exercise.

Miss Hardy and I have found a new challenge for you and your families to try out as we love finding new ways to keep you motivated to exercise.

We have upload a document with the alphabet and each letter has a different exercise next to it and your first challenge is for you to spell your name in exercises.

For extra fitness try spelling out your first name, middle name and surname. It would be great if you could post some photos or videos of yourself doing this challenge on your Class Dojo page (always ask permission before posting photos/videos) and there are of course extra house points to be awarded.

Once you have done your name perhaps you could try doing the same thing for your daily spellings or you could get your parents or carers to do the exercises and you work out which spelling they are doing.

We hope you can have lots of fun with this and please let Miss Hardy and I know if there are any other creative ideas you come up with using this resource.

Have a great day and keep healthy.

Mrs Ash and Miss Hardy

Good morning

It has been great that so many of you have been working out with Joe Wicks everyday and keeping yourself active. In addition to that we now have access to Real PE at home which will give you lots of extra physical challenges to keep you active and busy.  Below is some more information about it and how to log on.

real PE at home – online learning resource

There different sections you can have a go at - for Early Years and KS1 there is Real Play and Real Foundations where you will find lots of active stories, songs and challenges all based on different themes.

Then there is coreReal PE, Real Gym for KS2 - you will probably recognise some of the games and challenges from your PE lessons.

You are not likely to have all the equipment they suggest using at home but you can be creative and use whatever you can from your house - for example there is a balancing game where you have to pick up cones whilst standing on one leg, you could use some of your toys instead - try doing it with Lego pieces for a real challenge!  But please ask your parents permission to use things if they are not yours!

There are so many benefits to being active, not only to our physical wellbeing but also to our emotional and mental health, especially at the moment. We hope that the ideas help support you and your family to stay fit and healthy in the coming months. Here are the details to access real PE at home:

What is PE Sport Funding?

The Government provides additional funding for physical education (PE) and sport in schools. This funding is to be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision resulting in increased numbers of pupils developing healthy life styles, raising their performance levels and engaging in PE and sport.
