Premises Manager

We wish to appoint a hardworking, enthusiastic, flexible and reliable Premises Manager to join our warm and friendly school and to maintain a safe environment for our children to learn in.

 

30 hours per week – All year round 7-9am and 3:00-7:00pm

(there is some flexibility with this)
Monday to Friday

Grade L-M (dependent on experience)

Permanent and to start ASAP

 

East Wichel Community Primary School and Nursery opened in September 2010 and moved into the newly built school in July 2011. The site is situated in the centre of East Wichel’s community and has views across fields to the old railway line up on Old Town hill. The building itself accommodates 420 pupils and has a nursery for 2 and 3 year olds. The wide corridors and the luxury of two halls, gives the building a feeling of a light and airy space, creating a relaxed and happy working environment for us all.

Duties will include:

  • Site security
  • Primary key holder for the site
  • Alarm call outs and emergency response
  • Ensure the school grounds are safe and kept clean and litter free
  • Write risk assessments linked to site management
  • To keep accurate records of compulsory site checks
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Supervision of cleaning staff
  • Manage and supervise of hall lettings
  • Routine repair and maintenance tasks, including working at height
  • Gritting and snow clearing when required
  • Possible working hour variation
